We woke up to the roaring thunder and lightening & pouring rain around 12am. The gutters in the street were filled with water...and so was part of our basement! The rain was coming down so hard it filled our window wells and poured into our bathroom downstairs and one of the bedrooms! It was a nightmare! Thank goodness we woke up and were able to clean up as best we could and stop the waterfalls of water into the rooms before there was a lot of damage.
This is the window well to the bathroom. The window is in the shower so it just filled the shower and drained. Still a dirty mess though!
The window in this room is just above where the picture cuts off. The water was flowing in like a waterfall and pouring onto the floor. We quickly moved all the furniture, vacuumed as much water as we could with the shop vac, pulled up the carpet, and bought fans to help it dry.
When we had our carpet installed upstairs, they tacked this carpet back down and it's as good as new!
