Happy Birthday Emmy!

I can't believe it's been FOUR YEARS!!!

This little munchkin has changed our lives.

I love this little girl so much!  She is my buddy, my helper and my little sunshine.

Emmy has grown so much lately and I am so proud of her.  I love watching her as she reads, plays, draws, and soaks in all the things of this beautiful world.  I love watching her teach her little sister how to do wrap a doll in a blanket, brush her teeth, sing a song, or read a book.

Emmy has the most contagious laugh and beautiful smile and she loves sharing both with others.

She loves singing, dancing, playing with Bailey, playing with the dogs, being outside and playing games.

I look at her and can't even remember life without her, don't want to.  She is such a wonderful blessing!

Happy 4th Birthday sweetheart!

another one bites the dust

Another month that is...I really am terrible at this blogging!  I was looking to post some photos from April and realized I've been pretty terrible at taking photos too!

We did celebrate Easter in March though...and I did take a few photos then.

The girls participated in THREE Easter egg hunts!  So glad it was warmer this year.

Our community hunt was at our church.  A few weeks later when we were walking into the building, it dawned on Bailey..."Hey, there are no eggs here."  Too cute.

The girls found their baskets on Easter morning.  Bailey's mouth is full of candy, didn't take her long.

We went to church and the girls got to wear their new dresses.

AND we spent time with ALL of our family...

Grandpa D got a little Easter ouch from Ryker.  Ryker looks pretty proud wouldn't you say?

As for April, the month that FLEW RIGHT BY...
The highlight (and only photos I have on my computer right now) was going to BON JOVI with my mom and sister, Holly.

Yup, it was a great time!  See those curtains behind us?  You're probably thinking "special" seats right?  I'd say they were special.  They were the very last row of the upper bowl.  NO ONE was behind us, just the window.  We laughed as we walked to our seats.  We sat on row 22 and the last one labled was row 21.

BOY DID WE HAVE FUN!

I'm just glad he played a lot of his older hits, they're the good ones anyway.  I'm not familiar with the new songs, not sure many of the crowd was either.  We danced and sang to "Livin' on a Prayer," "Keep the Faith," and "Bed of Roses" to name a few.  I love spending time with my mom and sisters. They make everything that much more fun.

 HEATHER, we missed you!!

Eggs

I do not love hard boiled eggs.  I do not love the smell in my fridge.  I do not love the mess they make when peeling them.  I do love tradition though - and Easter tradition says we should color hard boiled eggs each year.  Another thing I love...my girls.  Coloring eggs + my girls = happy girls and happy mom :)

We looked at several different egg dying kits before settling on this practically mess free one.  I thought it was great!  I did feel like I denied the girls the fun of dropping eggs in colored vinegar water though, maybe next year?

Bailey was a bit confused by the process at first...

But big sis Emmy was quick to show her how.

Beautiful pearly eggs!

Happy little girls!

Seriously...

Has it really been 5 months since my last post?  YES.  At first it was because I was lazy, then it was because I was too busy, then it was because it was actually nice to just take pictures for myself and not "for the blog."  In fact, I'm not sure I'll be continuing this blog idea much longer, we'll see.  But until I decide to bail (whenever that will be) here's a little look at what we've been up to.

December, yes I just typed "December.
We spent some time in California at the beach, Disneyland, and SeaWorld, with Brian's family.  UNFORGETTABLE!

Inbetween all of us being sick, we were able to do some "December stuff."  Like make gingerbread cookies.

Decorate the tree.

Dress up in new sparkle Christmas dresses for church.

And enjoy Christmas with our families.

Then we played outside.

Celebrated 2012 and welcomed 2013

And with January came more sickness and mostly being inside, trying to avoid more sickness.

And "THIS" happened...she never naps!  Guess 2012 finally caught up with her!

And we played with our Christmas toys!

We did more playing indoors than out this winter.  Call me a mean mom, but I just don't like having sick kids so we stayed in a lot.
We painted nails...A LOT!

Played with play-dough.  I'm pretty sure this is the "I'm tired of all this indoor play" face.

We built "hunts" (as Emmy calls them)

I tried to think of different places the girls could eat...we moved this little table from room to room to spice things up!

Emmy had her first Valentine's party at her little Art School.  She was so excited, can you tell?

We took the side rail off Bailey's bed so now she's in a "big girl bed."  She sleeps in it FABULOUSLY!

Bailey turned 2!!! I still can't believe it!  We celebrated for a week, she got two parties.  In fact, it's March now and she still thinks it's her birthday!

We played more inside.

And Bailey continued to tip toe around.  I love it when she walks on her toes!

Ok, here we go....MARCH.  FINALLY, I know.
Bailey got her hair chopped - BY EMMY!  Oh boy.  At least Emmy put the chunks of hair in the sink :)

March hasn't been real eventful, yet it feels like the month has flown by.

I got lucky one day and Bailey let me take some "2-year" photos of her and of course Emmy needed a few of her too.
Seriously love these girls!!!

We took a few with the girls babies too....

Since we will be having baby #3 in July, the girls have taken even more interest in playing "mom, dad and baby," singing each other lullabies, and pushing the strollers around the house. Yup, you heard me right, baby #3 coming soon!

So there you have it! If you made it all the way through this post, way to go!
I wont make any promises about when the next post will be, but I will try to make it soon :)

HAPPY SPRING!
